Sucker, (part of “Align”) 2019This performance was the beginning of playing with a score about SELF, the parts of self that I shy away from, hide, side-step, or just plain don’t consider “performance”. I began practicing Contemplative Dance and studying Pema Chodron’s books for my training in Lucid Body, and practiced a simple score for 8 weeks figuring out how to perform “saying Yes to a No’, each performance is different and material used is gathered the day of the performance until I begin and anything in the room may be used. On this day, a friend gave me this record. I dressed. I arrived. I did the score.
